The autism program is out of control. The principal takes two weeks vacation the week before and the week of Thanksgiving. Teachers hurt and assaulted. The principal continues to do nothing. For years. Her reputation, well earned, is one of the worst principals in FCPS. But still she has a job and the issues continue.
Parents are taking their kids out of the autism classes due to concerns with safety. How can parents who don’t have $$ protect their child? Who to call in fcps to address concerns? |

Contact the Executive Principal and Assistant Superintendent who are over your principal. Also contact the Special Ed office.

| Scary |
| In previous years, the only thing that changed FCPS was parents providing video or audio evidence. If my child was at risk and I could not pull them out, I’d look into a hidden recording device on their clothing, jewelry. |
| They are afraid of suits from SEPTA. |
oh please. special education in FCPS only improves when the parents get video/audio evidence. Like the lawsuit a few years ago where they were locking kids up all day and not telling the parents. |
| Please also testify before the FCPS Advisory Committee for Students with Disabilities. They can't directly do anything but it does give issues attention. It usually meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm at the Willow Oak Center. You can sign up to get alerts about from that site you sign up for the various FCPS e-mails from. m |
This is the way. |
| Also see the "Failed Principal > Central Office Pipeline" thread. Then cry about the tragic consequences for students. |
| I used to work at this school and can't tell you how grateful I am that I left. What a cesspool. |
| What kind of principal takes such a long vacation during the school year? |
| I've had previous experience with the EA program at Terraset. It was nothing like this and they are so close to each other. If it is that terrible, maybe try to attend Terraset instead? I love the SPED staff there. |
Looks like a real winner. |
