Anyone else dealing with this pelvic girdle discomfort/pain? I’m almost 26 weeks in my second pregnancy and it came on last week- I had it during my first but only at the end, like 37+ weeks. I’m going to PT and trying to manage with exercises but man I feel like a disabled person. Had two prenatal appointments today and made me realize how poorly outfitted these spaces are for pregnant women- I needed extra pillows and towels to support my back and legs while sitting for the ultrasound, and sitting in a chair at this point is not an option. I spend all my time on a yoga ball.
Just venting and seeing if anyone had this in second trimester and if you have any tips! |

Are you seeing a regular PT or a pelvic floor PT? If the former... would look at switching to the latter.
Are you wearing any kind of support belt? I had it with both pregnancies, and prenatal yoga helped a ton. I also saw a chiropracter which I think helped, but really I swear the days after I did yoga were the days I felt the best. Maybe slightly counterintuitive, but trying moving more. It was always the worst for me after sitting for a long time. I actually got a standing desk at work when I was pregnant to help me stay more mobile. |

I had it early with all my pregnancies. My OB said every pregnancy is worse and she was right, comes earlier and earlier. I either got it to go away (for awhile) or get better with regular barre exercises. It’s due to weak glutes, adductors, core… |
