I posted above but come onnnm these two are straight out of a steamy romance novel I could be as jaded as I want and side eye but they look hot, happy, and in love.

He was never into her and never will be. His body language speaks volumes. She is just not good enough for him, IMO. She never felt like she measured up. She needs to stop worrying about getting laid and care more about her kids. She is a joke. Used to like her but she comes across as desperate to be needed. Ssd.

He's never been into his ex wife either .I'm not sure what is meant by she's not good enough for him, he's no longer a prize, not even sure he ever was .what with the drinking , smoking , gambling and general dead beat lifestyle he's always lived .

You seem weirdly angry and way too emotionally invested in this. Bizarre. If he ever wanted to stay with his his ex wife, he would've done just that. It's not like she didn't try everything under the sun—from putting her career on hold to play house, to aggressively angling for America's sweetheart couple spot to appeal to middle America —, all of that to end up in a dysfunctional household filled with resentment.

Jennifer Lopez is so desperate for love and never seems to find it. Is she capable to being along even for a week? I mean what kind of message does that send to her kids?

Heard his mom cannot stand her. I am sure that is part of the issue.

Her blue haired hippie daughter is speaking loudly through her behvaior as to how she feels about her mom sleeping ground.
Poor kids!

Ben is gorgeous but a mess. He needs a really really strong woman to keep him in check, someone who will challenge him, kind of like the dynamic between Warren Beatty and Anette Benning.

I happen to think this relationship is fake, but there is no way that she's not good enough for him.

You've made a great point about Annette Bening. Big differences in that Annette is well educated, grew up in a reasonably stable home in the midwesy, doesn't appear to put as much emphasis on her appearance 24/7 and comes across as self- confident not desperate.

Annette Bening is a sophisticated, understated, private person, there is no comparison. Jennifer Lopez is an intense exhibitionist.
If jennifer lopez has an insecurity (buried i suspect) i think it is around education and broadly yes, he appears to be more well read and comes from a background with cultural and intellectual capital. Obviously, she's wealthy but that is a different thing. He's also white. She also has to deal with the discrimination that comes from their separate ethnicities and she feels probably unfairly stereotyped and like she's disrespected or seen as trashy because of her Latina status. (Affleck has said he feels she is oversexualized because of stereotypes around her background and that she has said she felt that way).
Despite all of her grandstanding and showing us how beautiful she is...I still suspect that is in part driven by a deeper insecurity. His mother's lack of adoration and approval, at least last time, probably exacerbated it. And must really bother her. Her need to prove herself is so over the top, it suggests she's really must deep down be struggling with some part of herself. What part is unknown. None of that precludes that he has a ton of issues and demons himself obviously and that in some ways she is probably more stable, responsible and far less impulsive than he is, in various ways. That's what I think will drive her crazy....his impulsively and self indulgence. She's far more controlled and self contained.

She also i think is much more addicted to work than he is, she is essentially a workaholic and I think for him, that emphasis on work has not served him well, by his admission. He needs to cultivate calm, structure and the space and time to work his program/recovery. (Like most people in recovery) How they will meld these lifestyle differences remains to be seen. And they will be blending families and navigating ex spouses...all very complicated.

I don't think she sits still for long and during the pandemic it looked like even A Rod coped better with the forced isolation. She seemed to be struggling with the change in work intensity, not being with fans and getting goodies from public attention and just not working at the same intensity. Meanwhile I imagine affleck does just fine with grabbing a coffee, and hanging out most days. Very different people and probably different values beneath it all.

Basically she is way better than him, but because she is Latina and he is white and “educated”, the DCUM folks and his mom think she is not good enough.
