"Mr. Trump's recklessness, one adviser admitted, amounted to a political 'disaster,'"

I thought so too. The hair looked whiter than normal for starters.

Can't believe the conspiracy theories already. I watched the feed and it was him. These immediate conspiracy theory "it wasn't him" posts feel orchestrated.

Trump is a brilliant showman, even his enemies agree with that. He may have engineered the whole thing to attract attention and divert it from his failures. Americans love someone who stumbles and get up. So he can arrange bedside interviews about how he's in pain but holding up and coming through for the country etc.

Failed presidents usually start a war to divert the attention. Let's give credit where credit is due. Trump did not start a war in the past 3.5 years. He's determined to win the next election on its merit, not by creating chaos in the international stage to divert the attention away from domestic issues.

Now they need to invoke the 25th. If the president is hospitalized the VP needs to be sworn in.

You don't know what you are talking about.

He has an office at Walter Reed.

The VP just steps in if he is incapacitated (such as unconscious).

Sweetie, WTFU. The President is sick and is showing symptoms. He didn't tweet today. He's sick. I'm not suggesting that he is going to die, but he has a virus for which there is no cure.

There is no cure for the common cold.

I can't imagine he'll die. He's getting the absolute best care.

Yes, even if he is in fact seriously ill, he's odds of survival are at least 90 percent. But he is also likely to be too sick to work for weeks or even months

I totally disagree with this. When you have the flu, you can actually walk. I think he's sick. Do I think he will die, no, but he's sick.

Reagan was recovering from bullet wounds

Anyone else think maybe this wasn’t taken today? No live shot. The legs look thin for his usual frame..

You’re right!!

Gosh, yeah, this WH has been notorious for its transparency and believability and they certainly haven’t spent the last four years gaslighting the sht out of us. TOOOOOOTALLLLLLY out of left field to think they’d stoop to using a body double.

I’m not the one who posted it nor do I believe it, but let’s not pretend that Trump hasn’t governed in such a way as to encourage conspiracy.

Agreed. Hopefully his condition will stay stable. I’m glad they are being proactive. If he does deteriorate, he’s in the best possible place

It’s been about 4 decades. I’m sure that there have been significant updates.
Also, I thought Reagan was taken to GW after the shooting. Was he transferred to WR? Or do you mean recovery from something else?

It’s an entirely new location, no?

It’s a new location for WR — but I think presidents have traditionally received their medical care at the Bethesda Naval Hospital site — which got a name change when it merged with Walter Reed.

You are clueless.

There is a beautiful, large suite of rooms where patients of his ilk are treated.

VERY cushy and spacious, not a hospital room.

Thaaaaaaat sounds like bullsht.

Many hospitals have VIP suites. I haven’t been to one at WR, but the ones I’ve seen look like hotel suites - with room for medical equipment. So, definitely not BS that a hospital charged with caring for the POTUS would have something similar, that also meets standards for high level security.

DP. Yes that's true, but it's besides the point. It's stil a hospital, not a hotel.

I’m not clear on your point? It’s a spacious suite, that includes office facilities— that is in a hospital.
