There are people on this thread who have a deep empathy for him and view him as the real victim who is in recovery and trying to get his life together. No one defends his behavior. A lot of us just understand how the trauma of losing your mother young could affect a person for life. And understand that addiction is a medical problem, not a character flaw. And we understood how the trauma of losing your wife and two children would make one more protective and cautious.

And a lot of us have the same compassion for the Trump boys- they’re both troubled too, but they are victims of a father that doesn’t love them at all.

I’d vote for the guy who loves too much over the guy who doesn’t love at all any day. No regrets.
