Because Ron DeSantis is a conservative governor, who acted against government COVID mandates, Democrats support giving Disney control over the local government in perpetuity.
Disney will be putting a lot of money towards campaigns in 2026 of Democrats who will give them back all this power and money that was taken away by DeSantis and the Republican legislature.

'Nullifying the contracts' means they canceled the previous board's handing over to Disney total control of everything the board does *'until the death of the last defendant of King Charles'. This is what people are supporting because they hate DeSantis.

If you really want to see what's happening in the legal case, look at the YouTube channel Legal Mindset, rather than media that is looking at things through a political lens.

Disney's last 8 movies lost nearly a billion dollars, with only their Fox properties making money. TSG is suing them for hundreds of millions of dollars for their fraud, which tends to be the standard in Hollywood.

Another analogy would be Democrats winning elections in 2024, winning the House, but on New Year's Eve, Republicans in the House pass a resolution giving all their powers to ExxonMobil.
