She said during an interview today that the Federal Govt had nothing to do with her stepping down. If you recall she spent decades in Park Police.

I believe she was the DEI director or whatever you wanna call it at MPD prior to this role. I don't think she was qualified, but who is anymore. We have a fed gov who put people in positions just because. Experience and qualifications are a thing of the past.

Anyway, the person whom everyone thought should get the job was also a black woman who was very well regarded. She has since retired.
