I decided to give Amazon Fresh another try...

Went to the Amazon Fresh on Shady Grove Road when it first opened and wasn't impressed. I was irritated that it didn't have everything that I wanted and would need to also go to another store. Since then, the prices and lack of service at Safeway have really been bugging me, so I went back. I am converted. The produce is a lot better, I can get a lot of my Whole Foods organic stuff AND I can also get the few processed foods that we use. It feels like every item is $1-3 cheaper than Safeway. The one beef is that sometimes shelves aren't fully stocked, but I find that at Safeway also.
I go here first and fill in the missing pieces at WF or Giant. We are really saving money here. |

| I live near one and was frustrated for a long time. It’s gotten much better and it’s definitely a lot cheaper than Safeway. |

| I use them for online delivery and really like them. Even with the fees I feel like we come out ahead. I still supplement with WF and TJs but I find they have a lot of what I need. |

| Safeway is the most expensive "regular" grocery store. Harris Teeter has much better prices and is better maintained. Safeway is just sad. I was there Wednesday for a vaccine because HT no longer takes Cigna. I resolved never to go back. Even with the 10% off they give you with a vax it's still wildly more expensive. |

| I love Wegmans and haven’t set foot in another grocery store since I started going there. I keep getting coupons for Amazon Fresh and the Shady Grove store is near my house so I’ll go take a look. |

| Amazon fresh delivery is a hot mess. They’ve canceled my grocery order two hours before the delivery window twice already. Very unreliable. |

| The Fresh stores don't have everything I need but I love ordering online. And now with Prime Same Day, you can order many of the same items with a delivery fee or need to tip. Just now I looked at Fage yogurt is $1/each. Safeway is $2.19. I also like their chicken and verde farms beef. |

Walmart treats their employees a lot better than Amazon. We try to buy as little as possible through Amazon.
My husbands employer just hired a former Amazon driver. The drivers have to show up at the shipping docks every morning but they may or may not get assigned work to deliver that day. i.e. You leave your home, drive to work, and then get told there is not enough work for you that day so then you drive home and spent gas money each way for no work. |

Not true. This is an Amazon Flex driver and they are still paid. Also, texts are sent out, of course, when not needed. |

| Amazon Fresh has been hit or miss as far as being able to get everything I want in one place, and at times the shelves on some sections are kind of bare, but the produce has been great and I started comparing the same items with Harris Teeter prices and Amazon Fresh’s are consistently lower-by quite a bit. |
