| What stats is BU looking for in ED? Less than two weeks! |
| Why BU? |
|
Over 85% of BU students rank in the top 10% of their class. Among students who submit test scores over half have a 33/1450+.
|
| No offense, but unclear why one would apply to BU ED except for a specialized program? |
Perhaps the kid really wants to go there? Now there’s an idea. |
| Well, the ED acceptance rate was around 30% with only 43% submitting a test score. If you kid submitted at least a 32 ACT or 1400 SAT, and you're full pay, I like your chances. |
Is full pay really an advantage at BU? I was told their admissions are need-blind. |
WTH? You can't be this obnoxious. |
BU is need aware, and so is Emory starting this year. |
DC got accepted ED last year with a 4.0 and 1500. Best wishes! |

My Kid admitted ED. 1480 SAT(790 Math) Math Major, 3.7 UW from a OOS private without any grade inflation. 8 APs(school limits APs to Jr. and Sr. Year) Highest rigor APs (APUSH, Physics C, Calc Bc etc. none of “easier” APs).
ED acceptance rate was 26% that year. They showed demonstrated interest and made 2 visits to the school. Was told that the Why BU? Supplemental essay was important. They are in a niche non-recruitable non varsity sport. BU was one of the 15-20 colleges that had a club team that competes nationally. Friend with a higher GPA but less rigor in the same sport was deferred ED then rejected. Not sure of they were TO or not. |

If admitted ED to BU, and student applied for
Fin Aid will award amount come with acceptance? |
If you have above average stats, BU is basically a sure shot if you apply ED. So it's a good way to lock in a decent-ish school. |
They are need aware. They also favor males in admission. |
Not BYU. |
