| Do you buy matching christmas pajamas for your family? And if you have teen kids, do you still get them for them and do they like them? |
|
With older kids, we've moved to getting everyone a pair of PJ pants or lounge pants and a funny t shirt. Last year everyone got one from the Elf movie. This year the shirts are going to relate more to the specific person.
For instance, my husband is getting this one: https://share.google/75nZkz6uiBV37p0Wb |
| Yes, my teend (girls) love getting Christmas pajamas. |
| Yes and the boys 22 and 18 still like them (even if they’re just entertaining their mom) |
| with her friends she does. |
| I have always been curious about this. If you get pajamas every year do you have 10 sets? Do you throw out the old ones even if they haven’t worn out? |
|
We get everyone in the family Tshirts. Some years we pick a color or a theme and everyone gets different but coordinating. This they are all the same.
Then we do matching PJ pants for anyone who wants them. Our teenagers all love them, but the adults usually pass. Little kids love looking like their older cousins. |
I don’t buy them for myself but my kids get a new pair every year that they outgrow by the next holiday season. Just like any other pajamas. |
| I couldn’t be friends with anyone in this thread. |
Ours get a lot of wear, and passed down to younger kids. None of the kids object to wearing Santa year round. So they always get worn out. Adults don’t get the pants in our family but I can wear out a Tshirt over a few years. |

No we don’t.
I bought DD some when she was younger but now she’s a teen it’s flannel pants and a tshirt |
We don’t get new ones every year— only if one of the kids has outgrown theirs (we buy a bit big). We just do the pants— not a whole PJ set. My teen still participates willingly so far. |
NP and I’d be curious to hear more. This isn’t a tradition for my family, but who cares if others get a kick out of it? |
I'm not sure I'd want to be friends with someone who chooses their friends based on what they wear to sleep in. |
| My teens get Christmas adjacent pajamas - the type they can wear from December to March so it isn't a one night and dispose type thing. Adults don't get them. One year I might do ugly sweaters but for now, they're thrilled to get their Christmas pajamas as they love traditions like this. |
