| If so, what does she (or he, some boys. might wear makeup) wear and how frequently? Thx! |
| Are they 13 in 7th grade? Some do |
| Mine doesn’t. Her best friend wears eyeliner, too much in my opinion. She just needs a lighter touch. |
| Tinted lip balm. |
| No interest. I would be okay with a little blush, lip gloss, mascara for special occasions (not school!) but she doesn’t want to. |
|
My 8th grade DD never has.
Some of the girls do though, it’s subtle. |
| When dressing up lip gloss. |
| Clear shiny lip gloss on a semi-regular basis. Mascara and tinted lip gloss for dressing up. |
| yes, mascara and shiny lip balm. She also has acne so she wears foundation. |
| Mine has a lot of skin care products which has now blurred into makeup. It started out with tinted lip balm, a little blush, Vaseline for eyelashes, then sneaking into my makeup bag for mascara. I just talked to her about setting limits on makeup when she went full face makeup to thanksgiving. I told her that at 13, she can only wear makeup for special occasions such as weddings and that she looks so much better with a clean face. Apparently all the cool girls wear makeup in school, especially mascara. I’m resetting expectations with her that she is limited to tinted lip balm for school, no mascara until high school. |
| My 13 year old 8th grader curls her eyelashes and wears mascara every day. She wears full makeup, mascara, foundation, blush, lips, only rarely. She did full makeup for Thanksgiving yesterday and it looked great. She’s better at makeup than I am and certainly way better than I was at 13! |
|
Yes, every day. Some days it’s too much, some days it looks great.
She’s experimenting, and IMO this is a perfevt age to learn. |

My daughter (12) wears blush, mascara, and lip gloss or tinted lip balm.
|
| Just mascara and clear lip gloss. |
This was my daughter in 7th grade. By eighth grade, she is over it and just wears mascara 95% of the time. |
