I have relatives that are landing at DCA at 11:30 PM- they will be spending 5 nights with us. I don’t like driving at night and nor does my husband. We are about 30 min from dca. Would you be offended if an Uber picked you up instead of your host?
I do this for our relatives but Uber Black only.
Not at all offended, do they have an uber account? The logistics of calling an uber for someone without an account in a place like that is tricky.
I would not be offended at all but I think I'm more relaxed and thoughtful than a lot of the relatives who get posted about on DCUM.
Well, ask them. They might prefer a taxi.
|
Why can’t figure out their own transportation? |
I think a taxi is easier to arrange for the arriving guests if they don’t have their own Uber account. Meet the taxi at the curb and pay the driver yourself.
Get them a prearranged taxi or town car.
This. If I chose a flight that landed at 11:30pm I would certainly not expect to be picked up. What if they are delayed? They can book their own transport. You are housing them and feeding them for 5 days! |
I always pick everyone up.
Are they elderly? If it was our parents we would suck it up and pick them up. Although I can’t imagine our parents selecting a flight that got in that late. If it was a sibling I would suggest uber or metro.
No, do not pick them up. Offer to pay for taxi or uber if you most.
I wouldn't be offended at ALL.
I cannot imagine booking a flight that gets in that late and expecting to be picked up!
Why can't they do Washington flyer? It's the easiest from the airport.
