| Hi new to DCUM. DD is Class of 27. She stated she would like a school that has a "diverse student body, global/international feel, lots of music related activities, strong school spirit and sports culture, and students who are smart, friendly, and driven." Yes, I realize there will not be schools that meet all of these criteria, but would appreciate soem suggestions on where to start looking. At this point open to all locations. Just based on the above, any thoughts from a culture/vibe standpoint. Undecided on what to study. Strong academically 3.9UW, 4.2W. |
| SEC |
| Perhaps your state flagship? |
| Bama |
| Michigan |
UCLA |
| If 3.9 is from a public (frankly is pretty low), then Penn St, Michigan, Alabama, Clemson, FSU |
| Macalester |
Huh? Large or small? Warm or cold? Public or private? I assume you want a city? That limits it? I'd say: UMiami; UCLA; USC; Northwestern (esp for music); BU; Georgetown |
[quote=Anonymous, then Penn St, Michigan, Alabama, Clemson, FSU Not OP, but how is a 3.9/4.0 unweighted "pretty low?" |
Think about applying as a music major. A lot of more selective programs will open up for you. |
I wouldn’t describe Alabama as having a diverse student body with a global/international feel |
lol. def not. |
| Boston university would be a good fit. |
Yes, that big, strong school spirit and sports culture that Mac is known for all around. |
