Parking dos and don’ts for Newark?

We have a flight out of Newark. We will be gone for just over two weeks.

Aside from the airport parking, are there other alternatives that people use?

Do park between the lines and don't block other cars.

There are many private parking lots with shuttle service, which are cheaper. Just beware their shuttles may not operate often in the off-hours, like if you are parking at 5am.

we took the Amtrak right to the airport. It was 30$/person one way, but we only went one way so that was fine for us.

Amtrak to the EWR Airport Station is our approach. For pre-dawn departures, we stay night before at the on-airport Marriott hotel. Ditto for late night arrivals.

Figured it out. We are renting a car one way to get there and one way to get home. Much cheaper. We are coming from Hartford area.
