| Typically the bride sets a dress code and gives some color guidelines (avoid garnet because the bridesmaids are wearing it, for example). |

I didn't dictate anybody's clothes for the wedding. My MIL looked nice. My mom made several fashion mistakes.
I'd say it's polite to ask so the pictures will look better. |
