How many donuts for people coming over the day after Thanksgiving?

The house will have 9 total. This is a quick breakfast as we are then departing for visiting another family two hours away . Two teenage boys. Two men. Three women. Two little boys, 5 and 7.

One dozen seems like the too few. Two dozen seems like too many.

Count on the teens and boys having 3 each, which puts you at a dozen. The adults likely won’t eat donuts or won’t eat more than one. I’d buy two dozen then send them home with the teens.

If donuts are the only food, I don’t think two dozen is too many.

One dozen. Let them be hungry for better quality food.

This but I would not be eating a crazy donut before a two hour car ride. Can you just get a dozen and a dozen bagels?

Who are these people who assume all teen boys pig out? My teen son is athletic, eats healthy, and works out. He's not stuffing his face with 3 donuts and neither do his other athlete friends.

2 dozen plus munchkins for the kids.

Maybe consider picking up a bag of clementines, bananas, apples too?

Your son and his friends are weirdos if they're not going to pig out over Thanksgiving weekend.

My son could eat 5 donuts. I'd get 2 dozen knowing that there will likely be leftovers.

Are you talking basic donuts from dunkin or fancy donuts (which tend to be bigger)?

Are you eating again at the destination? (Like, is this quick breakfast at 7 or 8 am and then you're having a big breakfast at 9 or 10? Or is this breakfast, you drive to the other house and you don't eat again until lunch?

Donuts are cheap. Just buy two dozen. How do you all survive in this world?

Two dozen. Take the extras in the car, they'll get eaten somewhere along the two hour drive.

This is the obvious answer. It’s not like you will know down to the exact number of donuts!

Of course adults eat donuts.
