People mover hit the dock at Dulles this afternoon

I really thought the flight cancellations would be my biggest issue flying today. Did not expect to be in a people mover accident. Was anyone else there?

Did people topple over and hurt themselves?

Many people thrown to the ground. Several head injuries. A couple of people lost consciousness. One guy tore his bicep. Multiple people bleeding.

I have a bad bruise on my leg. I left to get on my flight but I think I will probably go get checked out after I land.

We hit the wall at full speed or close to it. There’s a pic on Twitter of the wall from the other side. I believe it was too damaged to open the doors. They evacuated us out from the back.

He was holding on to his mother’s wheelchair when we hit. You’re welcome to not believe it but that’s what the medical personal assessed it as.

If holding on tight to the bar and your body has a lot of momentum going the other way, could absolutely see it, the force of that much weight pulling away from the arm could easily tear a muscle.

It's not the first time there's an accident with these ridiculous things. They should develop a different system.

Just go away. Clearly all the peeps were in close proximity to one another when EMTs got to them.

Yikes! I hope you are ok. I’ve never heard of that happening. Wonder how frequently they have accidents
