I am having some foot pain that is much better when I wear Hokas. I am making it work when I am in athleisure but it is tough for anything nicer than that.
Do you all have ideas? It doesn’t have to be Hokas but I guess ideas for what to wear with bulky sneakers - I’m sure lots of women need that at they get older for various reasons. I have some slightly cuter sandals that I was wearing in the summer, but with the colder weather, I’m a little stuck. |
| I would try to find orthopedic loafers and booties. There is no way you can make running sneakers and work clothes stylish. |
| I would try to cover up the sneakers. Wider leg black pants with black Hokas. |
| Oh no OP this made me lol. I’m sorry, but no. Just no. Can’t you get some other kind of supportive shoe that isn’t a sneaker for this purpose? |
| I think hokas look good with a wide legged drapey trouser. Tuck in a high quality t shirt or a slim fitting sweater and add a belt. Cardigan or blazer on top. |
| Can't you just buy Bjorn or Aerosoles to wear with anything dressier than athleisure? |
+1 Are you wearing Hokas to the office? There are plenty of dressier footwear that are designed for people with foot issues (Clarks, Aerosoles etc.) |
They'll work with wider-legged pants that are full length and have some drape. You can dress them down, but you don't have to. They may not be the best choice from a fashion perspective, but just own it and you'll be fine.

| Hokas are inherently ugly and old looking. |
| As someone with foot problems, nothing is comparable to hokas. Honestly I don't even try to make them match. I just wear them with my regular outfits. Folks know I have an injury. |
| Wide leg jeans that cover the hokas work well for me. Also, get the hokas in black or dark blue. I had a four year period where I wore only hokas - now I have graduated to other types of comfort shoes. Hang in there! |
I would lean into the look and wear joggers. or at most jeans. |
| Get all black hokas and nice wide leg black trousers that drape over them like others said. Form fitting dark top with dainty jewelery and makeup. Maybe they won't notice the shoes! |
| I would just embrace the look. They are horribly ugly but are serving the purpose of making you able to walk. Wear them with whatever and embrace it |
