Just booked our Europe trip for summer

Going to Scandinavia in June. $3,100 per person round trip in business class. There were some priced a little lower but these work best with our schedule. We'll depart the day our kids finish the school year so we're there before the tourist season really picks up.

Wait a few months and I think those same tickets will be $5k+.

Scandinavia isn't super specific. Stockholm? Oslo? Helsinki?

Flying into Helsinki and will also go to Oslo for part of the trip. Haven't booked the Oslo flights yet, but those are short so will do economy for those.

I'm posting this thread because we'll see someone else post a thread next April complaining about how tickets to Europe for summer are super expensive. Yes they are, if you dont' book early.

ok so its not direct no wonder they are so cheap also watch out for iceland air that is not real business class.

Yeah we avoided them. Ended up on Finnair and BA instead.

I just looked yesterday for United awards for a nonstop to Reykjavík and was shocked at how reasonable it is.

Finnair sucks. At least you're not the person flying Royal Air Maroc from a few days ago.

Have you been to Helsinki before? It's pretty boring. Hope you're heading out into the countryside. I'd recommend the overnight ferry to Stockholm, it's 1000x better.
