She tried the tights and said it is too tight on her. The shorts don't do much. I actually got her a dress she wanted and she made this change last minute. I'm also pissed that she made me buy the other costume.

I would compromise on letting her wear it for Halloween, but not regular days. Personally I wear short things, but they come in two flavors: shorts and tight minis. Because there is very little risk of having a wardrobe incident with those, as long as the length adequately covers the bottom. The fluttery mini skirts are a big no no. Puff of wind, and everyone sees your business.

No need for a young teen to have a sexual outfit and want others to see as much of her genitals and body as they can. Don't teach her that wanting people to objectify her is a good thing. Her body doesn't need to be put on display. Teach her that she is more than a sexual object.

Its the fluttery kind but she said she would wear shorts underneath it. She just told me that she felt very confident and now I made her said and ruined her self confidence by saying it looked bad. She is second guessing herself now.

My young teen is in the opposite position where her friends are going as a slut theme and she is a Jane Austen character in an empire waist and up-do, and now she is embarrassed and freaking out and saying she won’t go. All her idea.

I would let her wear the skirt and take her to Logan Circle and leave her there for a few minutes.
