| At what point did the food noise go away for you, if you've taken a GLP-1? I'm on the .5 dose of Wegovy. I can't stop thinking about all the foods I cannot have. It's constant. I'm not HUNGRY for those foods, but I crave them and think about them for so much of the day. |
| Up your dose. |
| Honest question: Have you tried therapy? It can help. |
| For me it was on Day 1, so it is either the dose or just not the right medication for your body. |
| Up your dose. I had zero good noise on the correct dosage. |
This is OP. I'm in therapy, but we don't talk about anything that gets rid of food noise. How did therapy help you with this? |
OP again. I'm losing weight, so the medication is working for me, but it's a psychologically painful process, which is not how other people describe losing weight with a GLP-1. |
| There is an aspect of retraining yourself not to emotionally/reactively eat. |
| You are on the lowest dose. You need to be in the higher dose for that to disappear. |
+1 |
Not for everyone. It was like a switch flipped for me |
| That's a low/intro dose; I think I noticed the noise disappearing later. They start you very low given that it's hard for some people to adapt. Give it some time. |
| It never worked for me (sadly). I stopped taking it & my doctor wants me to try another drug. |
| You may want to switch to tirzepatide. My doc said it is more effective. |
OP- do you think you might be a food addict? Like an alcoholic but with food? |
