Why the pop-ups?

Anonymous
I have suddenly (this afternoon) started getting pop-ups on my screen when I am on DCUM. Any idea why?

Thanks in advance.

I am experimenting with a new ad network today. I have no indication that it is providing pop-ups and I haven't seen any pop-ups. However, yours is the second complaint I've received. So, something must be going on, but I'm having a hard time tracking it down. If someone can get a screen capture of the ad, I might be able to block it. I will probably switch back to Google soon.

It is hideous on the iPhone. Took me 25 minutes to get here to complain. On wifi.

Agree with PP it us awful on iPhone - pops up every screen change and stays in my way as I try to read or navigate. Came here to website feedback to see if it was just me, in which case I'd planned to throw my phone out the window.

I also heard about problems with iPod Touches and pop-ups today. I tested on my iPhone and there were no ads at all. Arrgh. Computers are supposed to be binary. They should work or not work. There shouldn't be variations like this. I'll keep testing and toss the new ad network if I can resolve this problem.

Is it also affecting the time pages load? Mine is running slow today (only on this site).

I am the OP. The iPhone is definitely affected the worst!

Okay, I figured out the iPhone issue. The new ad network I am testing has a mobile ad feature. I just turned it off. I don't know how long it will take until this takes affect. Is anyone seeing pop-ups on a non-moble device?

Yeah, it is definitely using your Google searches somehow. Hopefully the mobile ads will go away soon.

22:33 here no problem with pop-ups on my PC though. although the ads seem to be for nothing in particular. they all have random pictures (like a picture of a sweatshirt) and say "looking for info on Websites?" not really something I would click on.

Unbearable on iPhone.

Mobile ads still on my
iPhone this am. Need to close it in order to zoom. I know you need to make money but this makes it
Unreadable for me.
