Do you keep it in the freezer long? It picks up odors.

When was the last time you changed the water line go the fridge?

How long has the ice been in there? Sometimes throwing it all out and starting fresh is enough.

I just moved into the new house -- I chucked all the existing ice and let it make a new batch and it still tastes bad

Change your filter

I don't know, but I'd get an old school ice tray and fill it from the sink to try to narrow down the cause.

Freexzer Ice? vs what? oven ice?
Anonymous
Change the filter and clean the ice mechanism out. I have hard water so I have to run some vinegar through the mechanism as well.

Don't be an ass. Freezer ice that is made by the machine, not ice that is poured into trays

not being an ass. The post made no sense. All ICE is freezer ice. Where else are the trays stored TO MAKE ICE? Does the oven make it? Maybe the microwave? Instant Pot?

Np. You’re totally an ass. Lots of people have countertop nugget ice makers. We have one in our basement for guests
