Are your kids doing these? My son said that this seems like a new type of hell they are introducing to make college spa even more annoying.

I've heard they're mostly for the internationals. They want to hear the kids talk. It's not so much what they're speaking about that matters, they just don't want to admit robots.

That’s something else. That’s not glimpse, but it’s run by the same master company. International students have their own thing that they must do.

Glimpse is for domestic. Our college counseling office said it’s a way to show demonstrated interest.

My DS and I can't decide if he should do one. He's applying ED and going to have an interview with an alumn in November. It just seems hokey but we want to check every box. Not sure if its worth it....

I am encouraging my kid too. It puts a face with a name, and humanizes an application. Most kids are endearing and likeable, I don’t see the down side. I would NOT over produce it. That would be the one thing that could derail an application. It should be easy and natural.
