Are we for/against a possible Trump success in brokering a lasting peace btw Palestine ans Israel

I doubt the two countries ever will agree long a peace deal so the point might be moot.

I am interested in whether we can support it if it becomes a “win” for Trump.

I would support it. But I also think there’s a 50% chance Trump is the Antichrist and he betrays Israel as part of this.

YES! How can you even ask this question, OP. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or in this case, the hatred of Trump.

I would personally congratulate Trump on his contribution to lasting peace if this ever came to pass. And I detest him... but credit where it's due, always.

Good grief, OP.

so you feel the need to crowdsource your opinion on this issue because you think it may be a win for Trump?

You have major issues.

Against. This land was promised to the Israelis by God. Who does Trump think he is, trying to override God's promise?

I’d support it, and if it works out we can take a few years off his eventual sentence.

As a Democrat, I couldn't sign on faster to an actual peace deal which left both sides feeling it was tenable to move forwards, regardless of whether it was Trump, the Rock, or some RV salesman from Nebraska. I. Don't. Care.

I have my doubts that anything Trump touches wouldn't go to crap pretty fast, but I'm willing to be wrong with convincing evidence. That evidence would NOT just be him wandering around saying he did it, but the respective leaders of the other nations actually agreeing and moving forward.

Your insane conspiracy theories should not come before the lives and wellbeing of others.

I do not support it because it is just more of the same old Israel. Israel does not want peace just more land, murder of everyone they consider subhuman and continuing their war of aggression on the Middle East. It is a waste of time and money to continually aid in this delusion that Israel is some how a victim and deserves support. 180,000 killed and three times that injured just for a ceasefire? In under five years Israel will do the same thing again.

Stop wasting US tax dollars and US influence on Israel. It is an unimportant little country in an unimportant area of the world. If they want to continually make war let them bear the full cost alone.

Wake me when Israel allows a one state solution with full right of return, full citizenship, compensation for lost property, compensation for pain & suffering. Oh and turning all the war criminals over to the courts.

If the war ends, I'm for it no matter who pushed it. Could have been Vladimir Putin's idea and I'd be for it.

Obvious troll.

"Lasting peace" is the operative phrase, which I don't believe will happen. A "JUST and lasting peace" would be best, but I'm sure whatever the arrangement turns out to be, the Palestinians will get the short end of the stick.

As a Jewish Democrat, I am not remotely worried about Trump betraying Israel (and I obviously don't believe in the Antichrist) — Israel needed to have ended this war a very long time ago and shouldn't have been conducting it the way it was. I'm thrilled the remaining hostages will come home and that Gaza's civilians won't have to endure more horrific bombing. I don't really see what Trump could even do to betray Israel here, anyway?

Of course! See, this is the type of question mags folks think is normal but it’s decidedly not.
