Can you help me like Greek yogurt?

For several years, my standard breakfast has been whole milk plain yogurt with berries, granola and chia seeds. Costco has not had my favorite Noga Dahi lately, so I bought plain whole milk Greek yogurt.

Y’all, I know it’s higher in protein, but I swear it’s like eating paste. How do people enjoy this? Realize I may be in the minority here.

Yoplait makes a whipped yogurt. So fluffy and creamy. Not all grocery stores carry it though so you might have shop around.

Have you added in berries or granola or dollop of whip cream? Helps ease the pasty texture

It does taste terrible, you need sweetener. I use bonnet mama preserves.

Not everyone has to like everything, even if it is healthy. Just continue to eat regular yogurt if you like it.

Personally I really like oikos triple zero Greek yogurt. But I also hate chia seeds that you clearly like. To each their own.

If it's the thick paste-like texture that you don't like, thin it out with a splash of whole milk. That should be more like the regular yogurt you're used to.

Then add a bit of sweetener. Honey is really good in Greek yogurt with berries.

I blend it into a smoothie

Try different brands. There is a big difference. In our family each of the three of us has one brand of Greek yogurt we really prefer so we fight over which brands to buy. 😀

Try a few different brands. I find that there is a lot of variance in taste among Greek yogurt brands.

This is what I do. If I don't think it out, it's impossible to mix in granola and berries like I like to. It just becomes this solid mass.

I find with sweeter things mixed in (blueberries, sweetened granola), I don't need additional sweetener like honey. But if I eat it on its own, I need honey.

I like that Greek yogurt is more filling and feels more like a meal. When I have other yogurts, I will sometimes still feel hungry and want to supplement with toast or an egg or something. Which is fine, but I like being one and done with my bowl of yogurt.

Agree. My favorites are Chobani (first choice) or the Trader Joe's brand. The Chobani has better texture, the TJ's brand I have to add milk to in order to thin it out.

I can’t get into Greek yogurt, but I love Icelandic. Try Siggis.

Why do you want to eat it if you don't like it?

I have Icelandic skyr every morning. Try it. I prefer Icelandic Provisions over Siggis. Vanilla is the best. Awesome with berries.

I never eat sweet yogurt. I do sometimes thin Greek with milk.

I don’t like Greek yogurt either. It tastes like sour cream to me. I opt for plain yogurt with fruit or overnight oats without sugar. Add some chia seeds in to raise the protein levels.
