One of my kids has gotten very into paper crafts. She's making all sorts of fun things with paper cups, and origami paper.
She's been watching videos where people make fun things with toilet paper tubes. I remember happily making all sorts of crafts with toilet paper tubes as a kid, but now I find the idea slightly horrifying. I have some anxiety about health and germs. So, I want the opinion from people who don't have health anxiety. Or, is there a way to purchase toilet paper tubes that aren't have toilet paper attached? The crafts seem to involve cutting and folding in ways that I don't think would work with pieces of thicker wrapping paper tubes. |

OP here,
It actually didn't occur to me I could buy them until i was half way through writing that. So, i googled, and you can. Am I crazy to just order some of those? |
| Put them out in sunlight. But really, they are in your house now aren't they. |
| I always felt uncomfortable about the TP rolls myself. Although I suspected I was probably being somewhat paranoid, I still chose to use paper towel rolls, instead. |
| If it makes you feel better tell her to wash her hands after she’s done with the craft? |
| Michaels sells them. Look for toilet paper rolls or paper tubes |
No because she likes to make things that move, and that she and her siblings play with. So, it's not just a 1 time thing. |
| Cut up paper towel rolls |
| Yes, you'd be crazy to buy them. Save your money and put it towards therapy for your germ anxiety issues instead - much better ROI. |

Wipe them with a Lysol wipe

| Since you asked, this is not a regular worry for people without health anxiety. Please don’t tell your child that the tubes are unhygienic or filthy or whatever you’re thinking. I would only buy them if I needed them in bulk. |
+1. I don’t think you are crazy or anything, but this isn’t a typical concern for someone without health anxiety. |
| They do sell the cardboard tube rolls on Amazon |
| Where to buy toilet paper appears it should be at the very very very least of your worries. I have some empathy for you, but you need to figure your s*** out, you have kids. |
