I’m surprised “Unity” is not used as a name

Of all words that could be used it sounds like it could easily be used as a name.

I’ve met plenty of Hope’s and Faith’s. I’ve met Destiny’s, Unique’s, Harmony’s, and Justice’s. A few Treasure’s too in my lifetime. Grace is a common name.

Maybe Desire is another one that people don’t use enough. Wisdom Martin is a Wisdom and that’s not awful in meaning. I don’t like the sound of it personally but I get it could appeal to others.

Constance is an old faithful. There’s been a few Heaven’s at my kids schools too.

I know someone with the middle name Delight. Her older sister's middle name is Joy and they wanted to continue the theme.

I like virtue names, but Unity is a bit unusual because it seems like it's referencing more than one person, whereas Charity, Grace, Hope, Faith, etc. are all personal virtues. Unity is a communal virtue.

I’m just learning this today. I had never heard of this person.

I knew the Mitford family had fascist connotations but did not know the specifics on Unity until recently.
