What do you feed your medium to large breed active dog?

Well, first I keep in mind that, although we love him, he's a dog and he's not getting a huge portion of our budget for food. Then I feed him a mix of the Purina One Lamb&Rice with a Purina packet of soft foot (chunks or ground). He's a healthy 10 year old lab so I don't feel the need to change much!

3 cups of Purina Pro Plan a day for one, and 3 cups of Hills Science Diet for the other. Plus cheese tax, salmon tax, apple tax.

Our dogs seemed to have an allergic reaction to Purina One/ Purina Pro. Switched to Natures Recipe for dry food. Excellent results.

Regarding canned food: We buy the best (most expensive) such as Blue Wilderness.

Sounds good to me. Dh is buying Fromms for our dog and I think it’s too pricey

Fromm heartland gold large breed 8+ years. He only gets 1 - 1.5 cups a day plus various taxes, so price doesn't really bother me

You need to spend some time watching doggie videos.

We feed Prurina Pro Plan Weight Management. Dog is a good weight (now) but this lets her eat a little more volume.
When we need to feed wet food, Force dehydrated.

No cheese tax in our house, sadly.

Around my house we joke that our dog is like George III with the taxes … always looking for a new thing to tax! (And we can’t just throw it into the harbor because he’d love to jump in and get it.)
