Pumpkins stay forever as long as you don't cut it (or the squirrels nibble at it).
The jack o lanterns last a few days before they're black with mold, but untouched pumpkins last super long. |
Not if it's hot out! OP, the weather is chilly enough that it should be OK outside, keep it out of the heat. |
Uh no it will rot in the heat. You'd need to keep it somewhere cool in your house OP. |
| Don't cut it and hope the cool weather sticks around. |
This. And keep an eye out for any insect/animal activity. Once any holes or the meat is exposed, it will start to rot. |
i can move it down to the basement for a while moisture wouldn't be a problem would it? |
| I know people who give them bleach baths to help them live longer. |
| Enjoy it and just buy another when it's 85f in October and it rots. |
| Put it in your basement til it’s colder out. |
| You can paint it with various concoctions to try to keep the squirrels away. |
|
Don’t put it outside just yet .. |
This. keep it in a cool place inside. |
| Keep it inside the house out of direct sunlight. As long as the skin is intact it will last for months. |
