World Cup tickets

Sales open up for individual game tickets this Wednesday. Buyers are limited to 4 tickets per game and 40 tickets total for the entire duration of WC 2026.

Who’s buying and at which stadiums?

Ahhh...not buying tickets. Closest to us is Philly and I don't have a desire to go. Will certainly watch with interest, but not in person.

You can't buy tickets for games that the US would be playing in, because that hasn't been decided, so it seems safer to wait for the schedule to come out and see how much/where the US games are and if it's reasonable to pay whatever they're asking to go see a WC match as a neutral.

It would be a shame if the WC comes here and I didn't go to any games or get to bring my 13yo to any games, but US Soccer and FIFA don't seem real concerned.

I think you're wrong. I watched the game. US was the better side, just didn't get a result. Anything can happen in 1 game, thats why they get 3 games in the group stage. USA has a fan problem, and you are contributing to that.

I also find buying the tickets confusing. Is the first round only for VISA card holders? Is it limited?

I think you're wrong. I watched the game. US was the better side, just didn't get a result. Anything can happen in 1 game, thats why they get 3 games in the group stage. USA has a fan problem, and you are contributing to that.

USA has a tourist issue. With the current administration they will be begging people to go to games held in the US.

ahh, I see now... so, we know all group d games will be west coast, and we know the US is group D... well, in that case, I guess I'm not going to any US world cup games because the tickets aren't going to be cheap, the travel won't be cheap and the US won't be fun to watch. I'd go to Philly, Atlanta, New York, Boston to watch them... but not west coast.

Okay, so that's a little helpful, but I'm still not prepared to shell out $500 to get some tickets for that first Philly game with NO idea if it will be a game worth going to. Buy the ticket and then wait for Trump's little dance recital at the Kennedy Center in December I guess. Eff FIFA man.

We don't know what Group the USA will be in, assuming they make it to the tournament. They might be in "Group D" for qualifying but that doesn't mean they'll be in Group D for the tournament itself -- the tournament groups are seeded with the top ranked teams and then randomly filled in with lottery drawings.

Has anyone gotten in out of the waiting room for the presale draw? I guess there is no benefit to doing it now vs tomorrow, since it's a draw but I can't help feeling like the earlier people have a better chance.

We are the host country and are automatically qualified. Go do your homework before showing your lack of knowledge next time.
