is RKFJr's "Tylenol(TM) causes autism" just a shakedown for extortion money from the company?

Is that why he's blaming the brand name and not the common name of acetaminophen?

Who knows? It’s hard to discern what he does because he’s crooked versus what he does because he’s a moron.

The damage is already done just for insinuating it.

He much prefers heroin, himself.

Listening to him blabber ridiculousness in that grating B-movie horror voice calls for a Tylenol.

I guess pharma is now the new higher ed for the Administration?

RFK Jr could point to this study, too (considering the number of us who avoided painkillers during pregnancy and religiously took our high-folate prenatal vitamins yet have kids in the spectrum), but trying to extort Neanderthals may not be as lucrative as going after the makers of one of the most common over-the-counter drugs in America:

Yeah, it's not about actual facts. This clown show is all about personal grievances and the shakedown. Period.

Why cut Medicaid if you are trying to keep children healthy?
- Why not get rid of plastics (or at least not let SNAP dollars be used for food or drink in plastic containers)?
- Why not fund farm to table initiatives in schools? Promote and fund school food gardens?
- Why not fund additional public health nurses to do home visits for teaching, provide supplies, distribute resources?

Yeah, he's stuck in the distant past like Trump. Tylenol(TM) has more than it's share of crisis management in his lifetime, so it's one of his brain worms. Announcing the outcome before the bogus study is gonna go bad for litigants.

Probably.

In 1980, autism was 2 per 10,000 births

In 2024, autism is 1 per 12 births

Not a shakedown OP.

Tylenol (brand name) has existed as a painkiller since 1955, and acetaminophen has existed since the 1800s.

Also, what we called autism in 1980 was the extremely severe, far end of the spectrum that we currently call autism.

Have a citation for this? According to the CDC it was 3.1% in 2022, nowhere near 1 in 12. And autism was much more narrowly defined in 1980 than it is today.

Now compare the diagnostic criteria at each year. Double dog dare you.

Can you even cite the difference?

Wait, but it is more complicated. It is that he is taking the early stage of a question and acting like its an answer. This Harvard study sees a possible correlation but they absolutely do not say not to take Tylenol... among other reasons because having a fever can be bad for a baby too.

It is always like this with RFK and this is why he is so dangerous: he make broad sweeping statements based on a small amount of information. It is like he can't even get through a whole abstract or a whole AI summary, much less an actual research study.

Have you ever noticed how many more personality disorders we have now as compared to several hundred years ago?? Clearly an epidemic!

In other news, possessions and witchcraft cases are WAY down.
