I have a tech issue for DCUM
I've always had a hard time reading the scattergrams - too many checks all bunched up and I'd have to do the ol' two fingers zooming out to make it work. And it was wonky. And now they've updated their UI and it does look better , but their scattergram is even worse. It's literally off the page. I can see a the entire empty space that where a 2.5 GPA and 900 SAT would be, but you for 3.8/1500, it's off the page. The zoom in/zoom out works to make it one step bigger or smaller, but that's it. And still off the page. I've tried in Chrome and Safari. How does this work? |
| They purposely want to make it difficult for weak middle aged eyes |
| Are you looking from a phone or laptop? I find it impossible on a phone but fine on a laptop. |
| I hate it too OP. Even on the laptop, it is terrible. Also the icons are difficult to hover over. |
|
It’s horrible even on the laptop. I used to be able to zoom in and move where the zoom is focused. I can’t seem to do that now. And, the hover to see the gpa/sat score is also worse. I hope they realize that and fix it soon!
DS just got his sat score and wanted to see with that additional info, so annoying. |
laptop! |
Agree - the way you hover to see a GPA/SAT barely works. I can uncheck every kind of admission on small schools - so leaving only Accepted ED to Pomona (for example) - which is not popular and thus has 3 checks over 5 years - and it takes forever for the "hover" to catch to see even those. On crowded scattergrams, forget it. |
| You can uncheck everything except acceptances - that might help. |
| Ok, I’m so glad someone posted about this. I’ve had the same issues. It happens whether on my mobile or desktop. It’s such a crappy website. I hate it. The end. |
It doesn’t help unfortunately, same problem |
|
I'm glad it's not just me.
They seem to have updated the look of the site a week or two ago, although the data looks the same. But now the scattergrams are basically useless. I'm hoping it's a bug they are working on |
| Still no fix or workaround for this? |
| Everyone on this site mentions Navience but our school uses SchoolLinks and their scatterplots work pretty well. |
|
dont zoom the screen - use the + and - buttons on top right of the chart.
and then see only accepts while unchecking all others etc |
| THANK YOU! That worked. |
