I keep seeing articles about how great creatine is for perimenopausal women - anyone love theirs and can recommend? I’ve tried several powders and the flavor was gross or grainy. Trying to stop wasting money on trying various brands, but also want something that tastes good enough that it convinces me to drink it (so not a flavorless version). Bonus points if it’s part of a pre-workout powder to knock out two things at once. |
I’ve been using Naked Creatine in my coffee and find it blends really well. The slight bitterness is masked by the natural bitterness of the coffee. |
Have you talked to an actual MD, medical doctor, about this? |
Naked Creatine plus a package of True Lemon. |
Not everyone needs creatine. I started it and then had routine bloodwork and my creatine levels were off the charts. Turns out I was perfectly fine without supplements. I’m an average 52 year old. |
Bodytech creatine monohydrate. Take a scoop with water or in a protein shake and you shouldn’t taste it. |
I have tried a variety and I mix it with half of a LMNT packet when I work out. |
Only if you are lifting heavy weights. Help the Krebs Cycle and ATP production if you are getting adequate potassium, etc. allowing you to lift more weight. Otherwise it is wasted money. |
I just was advised by a trainer that she recommends creatine for all older women. Topmost two reasons is muscle build which is tougher as you age and also memory retention. |
Yes, she recommended her brand and flavor to me but I didn’t like it. I lift heavy weights but have trouble gaining muscle as a vegetarian. |
who drinks this stuff? just put a scoop in your mouth and chase it with a gulp of water. |
Meat, fish, walnuts, almonds, eggs. Stop with the supplement madness. |
I’ve been a vegetarian for 40 years now so I don’t consume meat or fish (although I do eat plenty of nuts and eggs). That’s why I’m asking! |
Don't understand. It doesn't really taste like much, just gritty texture. I throw it in a glass of seltzer or in a protein shake, then down the hatch. |
