I liked the recreated house, but the show lost credibility as soon as the neighbor went off about the pageant trophies. |

I barely paid attention to that. The neighbors are going to have opinions and memories of the Ramseys - not everything that they say is relevant or important. So what? |
He had bashed her with a golf club in the past, sent her to the hospital |
I was defending the Ramsey's earlier, NOW I am convinced Burke did it. |
He was outside hitting balls when he swung the golf club back and clocked her on the cheek. It wasn't a deliberate blow, it was accidental. |
I was shocked at how against the Ramsey's night one was.
Are they doing that on purpose? I was really out of by half a child recreate the death of a child Who would let their kid do that on tv.... Will we hear other theories? What did the friends say that wouldn't go on camera? I believe even if 100% innocent (and I don't know who did it) that Burke was awake and on the call. The parents didn't want him involved in anything or questioned at all and so lied and said he was in bed. That doesn't mean he did it, it just means they lied about it and I can see that and why Of course you wake him up to see if he heard or saw anything. What if the kidnappers were still in the house, very odd they left him sleeping alone. I would have immediately sent one of all of those friends upstairs to watch him like a hawk to see if he is safe and keep him that way. I would like to hear more about counter theories and the debunking of them. They are sounding biased by the evidence they are presenting.... |
Why did the show choose to air that clip? Are they just playing any ole footage they captured during their investigation? If they aren't able to weed through the obvious crap then what else did they miss/overplay? I thought the 10 year with the flashlight felt a little gimmicky too. |
The neighbors reported seeing "strange lights" on at the house. Lights that weren't typically on that late at night were on. |
I think the thing with the trophies was maybe just to introduce the fact that JonBenet had pageant trophies in her room. There has been speculation as to whether or not a trophy could have been the weapon used on JonBenet. And there were apparently trophies removed from the house days later (to be used at JB's funeral I think?). That scene was so badly contaminated with all the people in/out and it wasn't contained with John leaving for over an hour, Patsy's sister removing items from the house, friends cleaning up the kitchen, possibly bringing food and other items inside, etc. I thought the 10 year old with the flashlight and the dummy was relevant. The question of whether or not a child could have inflicted the wound was answered. The answer is - yes. |
If an adult had used the flashlight on the dummy instead then people would be saying "Well, yeah, but that doesn't mean that a kid could have broken her skull". But by using a 9/10 year old boy in the experiment it is proven that a 9/10 year old boy could in fact fracture something the width of a child's skull. The kid didn't actually smack a real kid obviously, it was just an experiment and it helped to prove the point that a kid could have done this. I personally would have been fine with the pathologist simply stating that "Yes, a kid could have caused this fracture", I didn't need the visual really but it helped to answer a long standing question - so I don't think it was an inappropriate experiment. |
Do we know why JB's arms were above her head? Could it have been from them changing her clothes and sadly rigor mortis set in while her arms were up? In a seizure would her arms have gone up? They showed how loose the wrist ties were and that they caused no injury so it couldn't have been for those right? |
I think that was part of the staging. They either dragged her into that room or carried her into the room after death and tied her wrists with the worthless slipknots. It makes me so sad to even think of what a horror that was. . |
What's the weirdest thing to me about the 911 call is that Patsy never tells the police that the kidnappers are watching the house....In the note it says multiple times not to call the police or she dies, they are watching the house, etc. Yet Patsy never mentions to the police to be discreet when coming over to the house AND invites a bunch of friends over?!?! Huge red flag... |
The "Burke did it" theory just doesn't hold water.
If he had hit his sister in the head, most people would just call an ambulance. It would be easy to say it was an accident, the kid was 9 years old. It would be very unlikely that he would be charged with anything. Plus, the blow to the head isn't what killed her ultimately. It was the strangulation, which a kid definitely didn't do. She died a very violent death. It's a BIG leap to say that the parents did it to cover up Burke hitting his sister. It would be easier to believe that the father did it to cover up sexual abuse, but I really don't believe that either... |
