I’ve been pretty active on this thread (so to not be accused as a sock puppet) and I was not going to vote for anybody in D4. But that would be a mistake in case Mandel voters come out on force. So then you need to choose between the two of lesser evils and personally I’m going to stick with the devil I know rather than the sjw that I don’t know.

I voted for Evans because I thought there as a higher risk of Stewart-Mandel in the general than of Evans-Mandel. Stewart will probably win in the primary and then I guess we’ll see what happens. Main thing for me was reducing the likelihood of Mandel advancing.

Exactly the opposite. While Stewart would beat Evans head-to-head, Evans' non-majority base is solid, and the anti-incumbent vote would split between Stewart and Mandel. This is why the Evans folks are so intent on typecasting Stewart, whose advocacy is broader than their more focused interest. If they can get to heads-up between Evans and Mandel, they win, so they are going all out to convince others of the "danger" of voting for Stewart. The reality is that an uncertain vote for Evans is the thing that makes it more likely that Mandel survives the primary.

If you don't want Mandel and aren't firmly in Evans' camp, vote Stewart. Then, with Evans' base basically ensuring her a top 2 finish in the primary, the general would offer the choice between Evans and Stewart, and not become a soap box to prop up the Mandel show.

You and pp are twisting yourselves into a pretzel trying not outwit Mandel. Maybe Mandel is the one who should win. You both aren’t saying anything good about who you are voting for and seemingly scared.

No, she's not.

I'm a DP, and yes, I'd be scared if she won. Everybody who supports public schools should be scared if she won. Fortunately, I think the chances are very good that she won't make it out of the primary.

Hypothetically what would you do if she did win?

Hidayat is Moms4liberty and if not pretty dam close to that crap, & has zero qualifications.

Why in the world would anyone vote for that utter shit?

I see zero evidence of him being M4L. Kids can't access bathrooms because of drug use. A kid was shot in a bathroom. How many guns have been discovered at mcps schools again? There's no discipline. There needs to be some sort of balance on this school board. His priority of school safety. Our schools are not safe. -a democrat

How would he, as a board member, be able to help school safety?

He could help make schools into kid prisons which has long been a fantasy of the far-right.
