| I’ll have one day alone in LA and want to do something memorable for myself. I could go to a spa, get the best hair color of my life, go to a museum, do a food tour, eat 20 tacos, but what should I do? One or two great adventures. |
Where in LA will you be? It can take hours to get across the area, lol. |
|
When I have 1/2 a day. I go to the Getty center, treat myself to a fancy lunch or dinner and look over LA with a glass of wine and wander the gardens.
For dinner, I've gone to good hole in the wall Japanese by myself or Eataly. |
| Stay indoors. |
| Go to the Last Bookstore! |
| Go to Santa Monica, hang on the beach and do dinner at one of the hotels or restaurants overlooking the beach |
Good point, starting in Burbank. |
|
Go on a long morning beach walk or bike ride, then go to breakfast/brunch in a walkable area (for example either Main St or Montana Avenue in Santa Monica; another good option: Melrose from San Vicente to Crescent Heights). Poke around, sit at a coffee shop.
In the afternoon, after showering up, go to LACMA or the Getty. Then go an early dinner (dining scene is great). After, end your night with a show at The Greek theatre or Hollywood Bowl. Eat late night tacos. That’s a perfect LA day. |
Will you have a car, and do you need to be back in Burbank at the end of the day? |
| What day of the week? |
Ending up back in Burbank. I’d rather not rent a car. |
Sunday |
| See if you can get tickets to the taping of a tv show. |
Never mind. Probably can’t happen on a Sunday. |
| I would recommend the Getty or Griffith Park and Observatory. Maybe Venice. But I would just pick one then get a nice meal. |
