What is a problem you need solved either personally or in your community?

If you live in DC, VA or MD what is a problem that you need solved either personally or in your community?

I'm looking to start up a new business and am crowd sourcing to see what problems people are having that I can potentially solve.

My problems are existential. I can solve all of my solve-able problems. What are you thinking/hoping people will answer, OP?

Op here. I'm not sure what problems people are having that they don't have the time or wherewithall to solve so I thought I'd ask.

I'll give a personal example of a problem that I recently had solved and when the company that I hired solved it I thought wow that's a pretty cool business.

A few weeks ago we set the trash out the day before we were scheduled to leave for vacation. Of course our usually dependable trash pick up company did not come to our neighborhood during the scheduled time to pick up the trash. So we had to haul the full trash bins back into the garage and they sat there festering the whole week while we were on vacation. I was so scared to open them up when we got back bc I thought there might be maggots crawling everywhere. Long story short our trash bins stank, our whole garage stank, and every time we opened the garage door the funk was starting to creep into the house.

So I get online and search for a trash bin sanitizing company and sure enough there were a couple good ones to chose from. I scheduled with a company that didn't have availability to come until 2 weeks out but when they finalize came to clean and sanitize the bins I was so happy. They did a wonderful job and now the bins smell like fabuloso everytime I open them.

I was hoping people would share their problems small or large that could potentially be outsourced.

You need to hire a company to come and spray either bleach or vinegar into your trash bins and then leave them open to air dry?
Indeed, you do have a lot of problems.

I need my new neighbors to start mowing their grass, especially on their side of our boundary. You’d think attorneys could figure this out.

Not my problem, but I know 3 people who put off medical procedures (like colonoscopies) because they didn’t have someone to drive them home.

(Two don’t live in my area and the other was before I knew them - otherwise I would have helped!). I just had my pupils dilated and couldn’t drive after that exam and I have a procedure involving anesthesia coming up and I’m grateful my DH can drive me.

Indeed, you do have a lot of problems.

Between the vacation and service, rich people problem. You get a hose, use some spray soap, cleaning stuff, or vinegar, and clean it, let air dry.

I need adhd meds for two of my kids. One is in that process / closer to getting.
The other hasn’t even met with someone. He’s a really really good kid.
For neither of them … I don’t want to change their personalities! ;( so I hesitate.

I need a house cleaner and a health insurance plan that covers unlimited massage therapy. This exists. I know bc I used to check on coverage/benefits for Chiro/Pt/massage office.
