My son is planning to apply for Applied Mathematics major. Which colleges are good including IVY schools. Thanks
Why do people all-cap Ivy? It’s not an acronym, it’s a label.
UCLA is one of the top in the country.
OP doesn’t want you to miss IVY. |
Washington State is great for appled math and appled everything else.
You can major in applied math anywhere.
UMich has a great undergrad math department and lots of ways of applying math. The math department emphasizes a positive undergrad experience. Stats department very strong if not as nurturing as the math department. They offer actuary, financial risk management, and bio-stats programs. And of course there is a large engineering school.
What do you mean by best? At the undergraduate level, pretty much any state university (flagship or regional campus), most private schools and LACs will have a solid group of researchers who will offer relevant courses. These distinctions are more relevant for grad school (and even then, probably not as much). Your DC will get a good applied math education at most places.
You mention apples, what about oranges?
DEI is dead |

Simply the best. Better than all the rest.
You may want to check out SCAD, RISD, FIT.
