Will ICE and the National Guard be at schools on Monday?

ICE was at our Virginia elementary school with a large hispanic population several times last spring. Parents would arrange to take other kids to school if their parents were afraid of being targeted (even if they are legal). The harassment risk, and in front of kids, is real.

They've announced what metro stations they are patrolling. I would also expect ice to continue to patrol the neighborhoods where they've been, to arrest parents even if they leave kids alone. Free DC is organizing volunteers to be witnesses, to the extent that's helpful.

They tried to, I believe, and they did patrol outside. The superintendent of LAUSD is an immigrant who spoke very forcefully about defending students and families. They have organized parent patrols etc.
