Which LACs attract the most affluent students?

According to the (somewhat dated) info from the New York Times, here's the Top 20 ranked by median parental income/ % of students from the top 5% of the income distribution. Bucknell strangely absent. No word yet if the involvement of rich parents translates to a pipeline to the street.

1) Washington & Lee
2) Middlebury
3) Colgate
4) Colby
5) Davidson
6) Trinity
7) Williams
8) Amherst
9) Richmond
10) Bowdoin
11) Bates
12) Skidmore
13) Sewanee
14) Haverford
16) Connecticut College
17) Kenyon
18) Wesleyan
19) Hamilton
20) Rhodes

These are the top 20 places to go to network with those with generational wealth fyi. But also maybe they're clique-y?

Recently Colorado College and Washington & Lee were listed as having the most students with families in the 1%

Is this the most DCUM thread ever?

Williams hands down. The median income may not show it but there are more WS/ CEO's kids there. Plus the campus and buildings absolutely drip with $$$ check out pictures of Sawyer Library, the dorms or the 62' Theater to get a feel for it.

Many Williams dorms are old and crumbling- especially Williams hall/frosh quad. Sawyer library is nice though, but the facilities at Williams are no nicer than any peer.

I graduated from Hamilton in the 90s. I am (delightfully) surprised it is ranked so low. When I went, there were many rich private school kids from the Upper East side and Greenwich.

This is a metric for working people. The net worth world is different. Carry on.

Surprised to not see swarthmore or Pomona here. When we toured Pomona, we saw so many luxury cars by students and our tour guide was a Brearley grad.

Interesting that none of the Claremont colleges make this list. I guess all the Beverly Hills/ Bel Air kids are headed to USC these days.

5Cs have more Palo Alto/tech money. A lot of lakeside prep/Bellevue kids too. Rich kids in California still go to lives, Stanford or a UC. The UC system is an insane bargain

This seems like wishful thinking.
