Bathrooms closed already in HS?

I thought bathrooms closed when kids started abusing them, but do some HS already have the “can’t use these bathrooms” ever or can’t after certain times?

they need to stop vaping.

This is the issue.

Parents, many of your kids, not just the "bad " kids but also athletes, band geeks, smart kids, student government leaders, and more, vape at school.

They are ruining it for the rest of our kids.

It's criminal to close the bathrooms. Some kids have real fears and issues around this. But I also understand that it's an area where bad things are going on that are hard to monitor. Simply closing them all can't be the solution, though.

Too bad that is on admin. The other kids need to use the bathroom.

Can the vape pens be picked up on the metal detectors?

Where are they suppose to go to the bathroom?

Our private high school has vape detectors in the bathrooms. Maybe that would be a better investment than metal detectors?

We need open air bathrooms outside of the building. We had those at camp (flushing toilets etc) but it at least would not let vape linger

That's what DD said as well. She was in a pilot school, and it did not cut down on vaping in the bathroom.

Seriously? High school students can't use bathroom for the whole day?
