Explaining MAGA devotion to Trump

Anonymous
Without bringing in Biden and Obama and any other US President dead or alive, why are Trump’s unethical actions ok? Why is it ok that he accept a plane from Qatar that we have to pay for and that will eventually pad his library? Is there anything else you’d rather do with a couple hundred million as a US taxpayer? Or paying for his flights and pricey security detail to support visits to his own resort, enriching himself in the process? Why is that ok? Or ripping up the Rose Garden, as if that is among our biggest problems that needed to be addressed pronto with taxpayer dollars? How about extorting universities? We all know he’s going above and beyond there. Would you walk up to him on the street and hand him your checkbook to personally fund these and other questionable activities?

So why the unwavering devotion? Why keep looking the other way? Does it bother you that the price of food isn’t going down? Again, no mention of Obama and Biden please. I thought he was supposed to be better than them.

We really need this Q asked again?

Because MAGA are damaged, that’s why. Either damaged emotionally, from distant or abusive fathers, or brain damaged from drugs, religious indoctrination, lead poisoning, or simple bad genes. Emotionally healthy and stable people do not worship deranged criminals.

Op here. Yes. Yes we do. Thousands of federal workers have lost their jobs yet that sh$t is all getting funded with taxpayer dollars.

Trump is the second coming of Jesus and maga worship.

Because MOST people pick a team, and stick to it no matter what. Excuse, deny, downplay anything not favorable.

That's why only those who refuse to swear a blood oath to a side matter in elections.

Meh.
I think the internet makes it seem like there is more support for Trump than there is. The gilt is rubbing off his presidency pretty quickly.

If that many people actually supported Trump, the GOP wouldn’t have run away from dc, continue to avoid their constituents or lie about the single piece of legislation the GOP trifecta managed to pass.

But that’s not the question. The question is why he engenders such devotion. What is it about this conman that people see as the second coming?

Yes this question should be asked over and over. My perception is the devotion to Trump stems from hatred of the Libs which stems from fear of replacement and outright racism and misogyny.

And exploring this question for the literal 100th time (at least) will help who or what?

Accept that Trump will always have supporters and will pick off many independents. Focus on upcoming elections and move on from things that will never change.

And that’s how we should deal with a fascist grifter abusing our taxpayer dollars? The end? I guess the rest of the world should take note and give up like us. Just turn your wallet upside-down and let them take take take. Our Founding Fathers and Revolutionary War heroes would be disappointed we’ve become so weak as we succumb to a wannabe king.

Yes. Here’s an even better way of asking it:

It’s a cult that took in a bunch of damaged people and gave them a new father figure.

There are major elections in 15 months and many others before then. So it's not the end. Hopefully.

Contact your state reps and encourage them to pass a state law keeping payroll taxes from the IRS.
