| Single mom here if little kids ages 4 and 6. I just got a new job with significant raise 80k to 140k. I'd like to splurge one 1 quality of life improvement for myself. What would you choose? Cleaners? Gym membership? |
| Op here- glasses are already coming 🙃 |
| Cleaners and laundry service. I spend 8-10 hours a week on laundry for my family. Way worth it to get that time back. |
| Also congrats! |
| A beautiful cappuccino machine! |
I was going to say my pets, but you don't need the extra work, OP
|
| Cleaners hand down. |
and congrats! and a one time treat of treats for you! and put another 5% in your 401k!! |
| Cleaner and then food service of some kind |
|
College funds for your kids
Once a month cleaning for yourself Once a week food delivery from your favorite restaurant |
| Cleaners and a gym membership to Lifetime if there’s one near you. The kid’s club is great for that age and you get a nice break to exercise and relax. |
|
My highest priority quality of life splurge is 2x month massages with a great sports/deep tissue massage therapist. Been going to him for the better part of a decade and it's worth more to me than cleaners, laundry, take out, etc.
2nd biggest is my yoga studio. Congratulations on the raise! |

I put the extra money towards travel and savings.
I’m baffled by people who complain about laundry. You put it in and walk away. What’s so hard? Cleaners would be nice but I’d rather have that money for a nicer vacation. |

Ideas:
Cleaners Once a month massage A couple of new outfits or shoes Good haircut Food delivery for a few days a week Something for your kids that they might like like new bedding but don't spend too much. Increase savings. It will feel great! Congrats and enjoy! |
| Biweekly cleaner, definitely. If you have that, you can get away without doing bathrooms yourself except a quick swish and wipe. |
