Is For Five coffee that great? I was near the convention center something and popped in to get a cappuccino. I was about to pay when I noticed the total was $9.65. That seemed like a lot so I passed but I’m wondering, is that the going rate now? Do folks think it’s worth it?
I’m not a big coffee drinker but my office is in the burbs near a Starbucks so a couple of times a month or so I walk over with my coworkers and get a cappuccino or iced expresso and it’s never that much. So just wondering. |
| Never heard of them. |
New York import. I pass a couple of them regularly, but the baked goods they tout put me off (if you think that's a good cookie, I shudder to think what your coffee's like) |
| $9.65 is maybe 3x the going rate. |
| I have never drunk coffee, nut I went to one for iced tea. There are several FFs near my office at 21 + Penn NW |
| ^ but not nut |
Did you have any thoughts about your experience? |
It was nice...more relaxing than Tatte. Good tea. |
| The cafés are nice to sit in but they are way overpriced. |
What is your idea of a good cookie around here? I love a cookie and am not a cookie snob. I found their cookie very good but too overpriced to have again. Hell no to a coffee for almost ten dollars. |
DP. I thought their scone was delicious but so expensive! I guess I can reveal now that I posted this in April and it was about Four Five: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1267254.page |
And to follow up on that post … I have grudgingly accepted that in fact I do spend more money out due to RTO, but it is more like a $5 Starbucks 2-3x/week, not $13 daily. And I definitely never buy lunch out on the regular - maybe once or twice a month. |
