Assume your house is paid off and you’re content and don’t want to move, your contributing the max amount to your retirement funds, you have no debt, your kids are in college paid for by scholarships, your taxes and insurance premiums are paid for by your dead aunt Gertrude’s trust fund, etc.
This is 100% ancillary money, just for fun, for you to use on something you enjoy. It can be saved and used on one or two large things every year, or it can be spent daily or weekly, whatever. What are you doing with the cash? |
| Getting another dog or two. |
| Ozempic |
| Trips, concerts, other events. Time is more an issue than the money. |
| Long ass trip with a tour group so I don't have to plan for anything. |
|
I’d put it toward house upgrades or replacement of any systems that are living on borrowed time. Put it toward installing solar.
Vacations would be second. |
| Horse! |
| Home improvements then vacations |
| 2k won’t go far. I would have it automatically sent someplace where it will grow. If I am generally content, there is no need for me to spend it just because I have it. |
| I’d use it to outsource some chores I think. Cleaners, lawn service, maybe meal prep. I’m lazy so I’ll throw money at life to make it easier lol. |
| I would join a fancy gym and get a trainer, I'd dye my hair on a more regular basis, I'd get one of everything the dermotologist can do for my face, and hire someone to clean my apartment regularly and someone else to drop off meals a couple times a week. |
