Is this the first time the “WordleBot” has not solved the puzzle?

Are we talking about #1503? I thought the bot got it in 4 today.

I am talking about 1503. I just confirmed that, on my account at least, the Bot did not solve the puzzle. (My presumption has been that the Bot is universal.)

Then I feel very smart. I got it in 5. Struggled with the first letter

I got it in three! Very lucky first guess that eliminated all but four words in the Wordle dictionary. The bot on my end got it in four.

It's funny, because I got to the last four letters on the second guess, so you're thinking, oh this is an easy one. Problem was, there were just too many words left and the Bot went with the most common first. I happened to pick the right one on the 4th guess, but could just as easily not gotten had I chosen one of the four other three other words that it still could have been.

You must not be on the same puzzle. Today's bot didn't solve it.

Maybe it's different in hard mode? Because I thought the Bot was the same for everyone.

I got it in 3 today, in about 10 seconds.

That has to be it. Do you play in hard mode, OP? Because in standard mode, the bot threw out an obviously incorrect guess on some step to get some more letters.

OP here. I realized on my commute that there are two bots, one for each style of the game. I do play on “hard” mode. I’m sure that’s the discrepancy between the bot’s success today.

Bot and I both got it in 4 but my path was unique among the 1,784,336 people who played today, probably because I always start with a random non strategic word.
