Good breakfast at IAD?

Anonymous
Anyone know which restaurants at IAD might have a good pancake/wafffle/french toast option? I’m hoping to have time for a sit down breakfast before I fly next week and I’d love something like that.

Not even sure there is anywhere with a sit down breakfast menu except maybe Bistro Atelier in the D concourse? Looks like Chef Geoff's doesn't have a breakfast menu.

Well that would explain why I haven’t found such a thing yet! Kinda frustrating, given how big Dulles is. DCA seems to have better options in the morning.

I’ll probably schlep to the Bagels & More place in the C gates when I get there.

Use the Chase Sapphire Lounge (they share with Etihad). They always have good small plate breakfasts. They had pancakes the last time I was there.

NOTA

GAVI brunch cafe in Tilly’s, it’s like six minutes from IAD

La Colombe coffee too 😋

Why can’t you have breakfast at home before you leave?

You are aware that most people can’t access this lounge, right?

Um, I always get in when I show them my Chase Sapphire Reserve card. That's all you need.

For many people, vacation starts at the airport and they want something nice to kick it off (like a nice lounge visit). For others, breakfast isn't a big occasion but something small of sustenance is nice at the beginning of the day.

I cannot immediately think of any airport that has a pancake/waffle/french toast place.

Which ones do and what is the name of the restaurant?

Aren’t the lounges mostly full these days. I prefer to be at the airport as little as necessary.

I think they mean most people don't have this card/access. But with how busy they are I beg to differ.
