The new Piccoli Piatti on Westbard is delicious!

I just tried Piccoli Piatti at their new Westbard location. SO much better than Pizza Paradisio on Mass Avenue which is where our family has gone for reasons of proximity to our Westmoreland Hills neighborhood.

Check it out. Real Neapolitan style pizza. The broccoli rabe, arancini, eggplant, and fried cauliflower are all delicious sides. Next time we come back, we'll try the different varieties of mussels with grilled bread or a pasta. The service is super friendly also.

I'm a booster because I want this place to thrive. I was skeptical about the Westbard development, but having this place, the new Tatte, and the improved grocery is awesome.

I don’t love Pizzeria Paradiso, but Piccolo Piatti is basically just a few steps above fast food Italian. While neither is great Italian food, we like the food better at Sal’s and Gregorio’s, neither of which is that much farther (although the Westbard setting is marginally better than the 2 shopping centers those places are in).

I’m spoiled, though, since I grew up on LI with great Italian food on every corner.

I love No Regret Pizza. We started going there a few months ago. Staff are great, food really good, but some is a bit pricy and love the owner is there worried about all the little details and really cares about his restaurant. He usually checks in 1-2 times.

You sound like hte owner.

Just looked up Sal's. they don't have pizza.

Just looked up Gregorio's. The photos of the pizzas show them to be very bread-y which is the same as Pizza Paradisio. I prefer Neapoletan.

I'm the OP and I'm not the owner. If I sound boosterish, it's for the reason I said. I'd like the place to succeed since I want to keep it as a nearby dining option. We support the restaurants we like! But it's funny. I went back later today to pick up a menu for home, and the place was completely packed compared to earlier in the day when I had lunch there.

We just did take out pastas and we were floored how good they were. We got a clam pasta dish and a sausage and broccoli rabe pasta with what tasted like house-made pasta. The caesar salad was also great. I love Paradisio's pizza so will be trying PP's soon.

There are few restaurants in the area and even less Italian. Not surprised it’s busy.

I agree that Pizza Paradiso spring valley pizza is just straight up bad. The crust is dry and tasteless - awful really. Its a shame.

Piccolo in Westbard is very decent. Maybe not off the charts awesome, but good and welcome addition to the neighborhood!

If you asked me which I'd rather eat at - it's not even a question. Piccolo.

Westbard? No thanks.

Gregorio's is awful. Wild Tomato is the other one, owned by Sal's, with good pizza. Excited to try Piccolo! Now we need a Moby Dick or Fish Taco. And sushi! And frozen yogurt!

We love the burritos at their Mexican place, I always forget the name.

I love the one at Wildwood. My favorite order is the mutation pizza and the arugula salad. The arancini are also good. My daughter has gotten the pasta and it looked good too.

It’s a totally different style pizza than the Long Island pizza poster above. Lighter, less cheese.
