Did your son coordinate anything riom-wise with his roomate(s)?

My son is in a triple with an in-room bathroom. How does this typically work with the other roommates? Do we coordinate anything?

When my daughter left for college a year ago she and her roommate coordinated bedding, and split buying larger purchases like a fridge and rug. She and her roommate connected online and by the time school had started they had zoomed multiple times. the roommate's mother even reached out to me as they were shipping things to our address are we were much closer to the college.

I can't see my son doing any of this and yet he probably needs most of the same things. How did it work for your son?

Boys don't typically do this. Mine was in a double and they just discussed who would supply a refrigerator, rug, futon, etc. Bedding colors was not a concern.

How does one coordinate bedding? They want it to match? Come on. This is college, not some decorating show. So glad I have boys.

They should have some sort of an agreement on a TV and if they want one, only bring one. Video game system? Microwave?

This. Mine just texted the other kid and let him know I was providing the fridge/microwave.

My son does not have the contact of the other room mate, just a name. I am not sure what there would be to coordinate. They bring their own mini fridge. I hope they dont get together to make their bedding match, that is weird. There can be two rugs in the room, so who cares. No one is shipping crap to my house unless it is mine, like wtf. No ones mother better not reach out to me when they are all grown adults.

Roommates don’t come out for my son’s school until late next week but I’d be shocked if he did coordinate anything.

Definitely not. He brought his stuff. His roommate brought his stuff. That was the extent of coordination.

They decided who would bring the fridge and that’s it.

No but I did. Not decor so much as fans, refrigerator and in one case bathroom supplies (shower curtain, plunger TP) esp since roommate was flying and we were driving, etc. #boymomlife

Remember going into guys’ rooms back in the day? Did they look like they coordinated? Haha. No.

Coordinate bedding? My daughter wouldn’t even do that.

Don’t do that

They are coordinating on who brings microwave, fridge, dust buster, and mallet for raising beds. That’s about it.

I think they are talking about things like microwave or mini-fridge but not coordinating bedding.
